Spondon's first Christmas lights switch-on event for two years attracted hundreds of people to the village centre on Saturday.
The popular annual event was postponed in 2020 due to COVID-19 but came back with a bang for 2021 with the village streets full of people enjoying the fun and entertainment on offer.
As well as fun fair rides and stalls, there was live music, a visit from Santa and special offers and products on sale from many of our local businesses.
The lights were switch-on at 6pm accompanied by an impressive fireworks display. The village looks brilliantly festive with the Christmas lights all shining brightly.
The event is organised by Spondon Traders Association and a huge thanks go to them and their volunteers for putting on another fantastic event for the whole Spondon community to enjoy.
