Funding confirmed for Village rejuvenation plans

Last month we reported the result of the Spondon Traders Association’s application for Portas Pilot Funding to help with the rejuvenation of our village.

Although the STA were unsuccessful in the bid for the £100,000 grant, they had been awarded £10,000 for the Village Hall Car park project, with confirmation that the money is on its way to our City Council.

The Village Rejuvenation Management Team, formed as a result of the Portas Bid, has continued to meet, and have had number of preliminary thoughts about how the village can be further irmproved.

Spondon is our village; we need to help it grow.

Over the next couple of months the team will be talking to a number of clubs throughout our village, we want to involve all ages and groups, so that everyone has a say, everyone feels involved.

Look out for more information regarding this project coming soon.
