Thanks to the hard work of the Safer Spondon sub group, SmartWater signs are now displayed at all of the main entrances and exits to Spondon.
SmartWater is a way of marking property and has a proven record in reducing crime such as burglary, robbery and auto crime.
he whole of Spondon is now designated as a Smartwater suburb and this is great news as it should deter unwanted attention from undesirable elements of the community wishing to look for an easy target. House burglaries in particular will hopefully be reduced by this great deterrent.
