Sandringham Drive/Dale Road Area Street briefing

A street briefing took place in this area on 15 April in response to a number of reports from local residents of various problems in the area.

The briefing was attended by 21 residents, Council Officers from Streetpride and the Neighbourhood Team and the Police. A walkabout took place identifying concerns and potential improvements. These included blocked gulleys, damage to grassed verges, litter, unmaintained land and car parks, inconsiderate parking, speeding, poor pavements and unmaintained alleys. Issues with school safety and dog fouling in the area were also highlighted.

Some suggestions for improvements were made including setting up a local residents group, identifying volunteers for Community speed watch and litter picking. Councillor Poulter informed residents that the area would be a priority for Board to tackle some of the bigger issues.

The first action has been to mount the Speed Indicating Device onto Sandringham Drive.
