NatWest Bank have recently announced that they plan to close the Spondon branch of the bank in September. As many local residents and businesses are against the move, a campaign has been launched to try and get the decision reversed.
Local representatives including Spondon councillors and traders will soon be meeting bank bosses to put forward the case for keeping the branch open, and it needs the support and feedback from everyone locally to add to the argument.
A survey was recently carried out to enable people to have their say on what impact the closure will have for them and to help prove the value of these services to the residents and businesses of Spondon. It received over 450 responses in total (across the online and paper versions) and these will be collated and presented at the meeting.
