2011 is Census year with this year's Census Day taking place on Sunday 27th March.
The Census is a count of the UK population and is held every 10 years. All households in the UK complete a questionnaire on the Census Day reflecting their current household situation on that day.
Data form the Census is then compiled and used to inform future decisions about key issues in the UK such as housing, health, education, transport and more.
