The Friends of Spondon Cemetery have been very busy during the winter months.
Thanks to local funeral directors, A W Lymm, a new water supply has been provided for the installation of a new Victorian-style water tap to be fitted soon, near to the memorial garden. The Neighbourhood Board have funded a new bench, which has been installed in the heart of the cemetery.
Members of the group have planted spring bulbs donated by Wyvale Garden Centre, Findern and will be carrying out a litter pick and tidy up at 10am on Wed 4th March. Anyone interested in joining the group would be most welcome on the day.
The group’s next meeting is on Wed 1st April, 11am at the Village Club on Chapel Street - again, all welcome.
