As the weather turns increasingly wintry in Spondon, Spondon Neighbourhood Board are reminding residents that they have free bags of winter grit available to help combat the icy weather.
The Board is offering Spondon Ward residents free 4kg bags of grit to help them and help their neighbours to cope with frozen and slippery footpaths and roads.
The aim is to encourage Spondon residents to help others in their community, especially the elderly and disabled, who might otherwise find themselves isolated and unable to get out to local facilities.
