After several incidents of antisocial behaviour, the car park at Dale Road Park will be locked at night going forward.
Open hours will now be 8am until 9pm (or dusk) during the summer with potential alternative times during winter months to be confirmed.
A number of Spondon community volunteers have stepped up to help combat this issue and will be opening/closing the gate at the park on a rota basis.
The new gate was funded through Spondon Neighbourhood Board and the rota has been organised by the Friends of Spondon Parks group.
