Winners of this year's In Bloom competitions have been announced by the Village Improvement Committee.
The various competitions were judged at the end of July by Dawn Dagley of Derby City Council's Parks Department, who was impressed by another year of excellent entries.
The Flowering Container competition was won by Mr Harper of 4 Chaffinch Close, with 2nd prize taken by Mrs and Mr N Lawson (111 Royal Hill Road). In 3rd place was Anne Smith (12 Longley Lane).
The Shops and Businesses category was won by Spondon Hardware, with Sitwell Street Garage taking second place and D Label third.
The Pubs & Clubs category was won by the Malt Shovel with the Village Club as runner-up.
